ASINH

Calculates the inverse hyperbolic sine (area hyperbolic sine) of a value.

Syntax

ASINH(<value>)

Parameter	Description	Supported input type
`<value>`	The number that the inverse hyperbolic sine function is applied to.	`DOUBLE_PRECISION`

ASINH returns a value of type DOUBLE_PRECISION. It is defined for every real argument.

The inverse hyperbolic sine of 0 is 0:

SELECT ASINH(0) as result;

result double
0

ASINH undoes SINH, and SINH(LN(2)) is 0.75, so this returns LN(2):
